I was so excited when I read in a Writers' magazine that Pocket Books had just opened a window of opportunity for un-agented writers, requesting a synopsis and three chapters. I put my material in the mail that same day. The rejection follows:
"Thank you for submitting your work to Pocket Books. Due to the high volume of submissions we receive, we do not review un-agented manuscripts or materials. We wish you success with your literary career."
Aargh!
